CHA CHA

CHA CHA

CHA CHA is currently in Lebanon. Once we find an adopter for her, she will come to Canada.
CHA CHA became a mother at a young age. She's less than 2 years old! Nevertheless, she is so gentle and calm even with her baby boy. Her loving, sweet nature is apparent when you first meet her. She loves cuddles and will flop at your feet to get some!
CHA CHA was living on the streets in Lebanon. She became pregnant and we suspect she became very sick because of infections and injuries as well as poor nutrition. When GAEA Animal Welfare found her she was dying. In a heroic effort to save mother and babies, her rescuer brought her to the vet. The birthing process took 3 days and CHA CHA was obviously in agony the entire time. So much so, her rescuers did not think she would make it. CHA CHA gave birth to 12 puppies. Six died at birth while five more died over the next few days following birth. Only one puppy survived: TAP TAP. Even though she was exhausted, CHA CHA took care of her puppies but most were simply not strong enough to survive.
RDL-C was involved from the start, paying for all of the vet bills. CHA CHA had several medical issues: A hernia, anaplasma, ehrlichia, anemia, infection and a dehydrated liver. Shortly after birth she started bleeding out and was diagnosed with pyometra. Emergency surgery was performed and she survived. CHA CHA could no longer feed her remaining puppy so GAEA rescuers bottle fed TAP TAP.
Today, CHA CHA is healthy and strong. She is a wonderful mother to her boy TAP TAP even if she could not feed him. CHA CHA melts hearts with her affectionate demeanor and we are happy to say she is ready for adoption.
Personality: Friendly, social with people, social with dogs, affectionate, trusting, calm, shy/timid, laidback/easygoing.
CHA CHA came from the street but has been living at a foster home ever since she was rescued. She would benefit from patient adopters who will let her get used to a new home and slowly introduce her to new things (she's timid). CHA CHA has a lot of love to give and would love a family of her own!
Currently lives at a paid foster home.
