IPPY is a sweetheart who loves to cuddle and is very friendly. She loves to be around children but can be a little "bossy" with some younger kids. IPPY is a true foodie! Her favorite foods are yogurt and spaghetti! She is described as a cuddle bug and will shadow her favorite person. Pretty calm inside the home but loves to run (zoomies) outside.
IPPY embodies resilience and love. This beautiful and cheerful girl was rescued from an overcrowded shelter. She was covered in mud, her fur was matted and she looked unkempt. She was covered in ticks and fleas. GAEA rescuers took her to the vet and groomer where she was checked, treated and cleaned. It must be noted that X-rays of IPPY show she has some pellets still embedded under her skin which means she was shot by someone when she was younger and prior to being put in the shelter. The pellets are not close to organs and do not impede her mobility.
Two of IPPY's most remarkable qualities are her incredible friendliness and intelligence. Because she is so smart, she learns very quickly and should be easy to train. IPPY's charm doesn't stop there! She's just plain "great" around other dogs, cats and especially around humans of all ages. During her walks in Lebanon, the neighborhood kids could not resist greeting her and she just soaked up all the love and attention. She truly is a joy to have around.
Personality: Friendly, social with people, social with dogs, Affectionate, Playful, Trusting, Confident, Curious, Some leash reactivity (she gets excited when she meets other dogs or small woodland critters like squirrels).
The only thing missing from IPPY's life is her very own Forever Home. She would do well as a member of a family with older kids and would benefit from a fenced backyard to exercise between walks. IPPY is ready to shower her future family with love, loyalty and boundless, joyful affection. If you are looking for a companion to fill your life with happiness and sunshine, IPPY is your girl!
