Sweet ALESSIA

ALESSIA is currently in Lebanon. She will be coming to Canada as soon as she has an adopter.
ALESSIA grabs your heart right away as she is very sweet and friendly. She enjoys getting attention and interacting with the people who take care of her and visit her. She is an easy dog to love. She especially enjoys rolling over for belly rubs once she feels safe.
ALESSIA is one of MAX and SASHA's puppies. She was born behind a shopping mall along a busy highway in Dbayye, Lebanon and thanks to her parents' resilience and devotion she survived until she and her family were rescued by RDL-C (with the help of GAEA ANIMAL WELFARE). SASHA and all 9 of her puppies were found in a flooded pot hole. Thanks to RDL-C, ALESSIA and 6 of her siblings successfully battled leptospirosis and are fit and healthy today.
ALESSIA was raised in a shelter environment. That is all she has ever known which explains why she is nervous when taken into new environments. She accepts the leash and walks fairly well on leash though there is room for improvement. This wonderful girl will need a patient and experienced adopter to help guide and train her so she can learn to live in a home, go leash walking without getting scared at all the new things she encounters, housetraining and day-to-day routine. She is highly trainable as she is always looking up to her handler to find out what she should be doing. Given time, patience and a consistent routine, ALESSIA will blossom into a loyal, calm and deeply devoted companion.
Personality:  Friendly, Social with people, Social with dogs, affectionate, calm, gentle, nervous/anxious, submissive, shy/timid and sometimes fearful.
