ORY or Ori means "Destiny" in certain African dialects. ORY is a gorgeous Husky with piercing icy blue eyes. She is very calm and gentle. Enjoys being scratched under her chin. We are certain she will be a great family dog!
ORY was living on the streets in the Bchamoun area of Lebanon where dogs are often poisoned or shot. She was originally spayed and released as part of the RDL-C S.N.I.P. program. Rescuers from GAEA Animal Welfare would check on her and bring her food as ORY would stay close to one building in the area. One day, GAEA rescuers intervened and took her off the streets when a man pulled a gun on her and threatened to shoot her. RDL-C has continued to provide Vet care and foster care ever since.
Ory is a very calm and sweet lady. Her gentle nature made her ideal to be around the smaller dogs at her foster home in Lebanon. Once in Canada, she adapted and became friends with a dog her own size. Charming, affectionate and calm.
Personality: Friendly, social with people, social with dogs, affectionate, playful, trusting, calm, shy/timid.
ORY would benefit from a fenced backyard and a home where she can get plenty of exercise and outings. She will need some practice walking on leash as well as some time to adjust to her new surroundings.
Currently lives at a foster home.
