Max is a true gentleman and a natural leader. While he can be a bit aloof when first meeting someone new, he is deeply kind and "dog savvy," handling every interaction with a professional, steady grace.
His Story
On the streets, Max was a protector. He chose a mate, Sasha, and together they raised a family against all odds. He even "adopted" Olio into his pack to keep him safe before they were all rescued. After a lifetime of scavenging and roaming to survive, Max is more than ready to retire into a life of comfort.

What He Needs
Max is an athlete and would thrive in an active home, he would make a great adventure buddy! Although he is not “high energy” he can keep up with the most active of families. At home he will need a patient adopter to help him with housetraining and leash work, as the concept of a "home" is brand new to him. He has spent his life looking out for everyone else; now, he just needs a family to look out for him.
